Au milieu de nulle part, une cité ouvrière vidée de sa population depuis quelques années déjà. Parmi eux il y a Francis, l'ouvrier consciencieux qui continue d'entretenir la machine sur laquelle il a travaillé toute sa vie ; Samir, son fils.
