Die unartigen Zwillinge Simmi und Sammi haben sich einmal zu oft daneben benommen, denn nun geht es für das freche Paar zur Bestrafung auf die Sommerschule Hope. In dem militärisch angehauchten Umerziehungszentrum, das unter der Leitung des strengen Falconetti steht, sind jegliche Arten von Erholung, Freizeit und Spaß untersagt. Davon lassen sich die beiden Draufgänger natürlich nicht unterkriegen und gründen mit ihren Freunden Fredo , Mikro und Matilde eine Widerstandsbewegung: die „Murmel-Gang“.
