Three For The Show

With word that her husband, composer Marty (Jack Lemmon) was killed in action, musical comedy star Julie Stewart (Betty Grable) agrees to marry his partner, choreographer Vernon Lowndes. When Marty's unexpected return takes everyone by surprise, Julie can't choose between them, so she decides to live with both men at once. As her best friend, dancer Gwen Howard, waits for Julie to make up her mind, Marty and Vernon finally become fed up with the arrangement and leave to write a new show starring Gwen. To save the production, producer Mike Hart then lures Julie to join the cast, ultimately helping her to see that it's Marty she loves, as Gwen decides that Vernon is really the man for her.
